These indices increased in 15 years in Brazil, rising from 22% in 2006 to 26.3% in 2021.

This report showed that this increase prevailed among men, ranging from 5.9% to more.

Additionally, a drop in registrations was observed in certain age groups, with the greatest reduction observed among adults aged 45 to 64 years.

With that, ranging from 32.3% in 2006, to 30.9% in 2021 over the ages of 45 to 54 years.

Already in 2006 varying between 49.7% and in 2021 in 49.4% over the ages of 55 and 64 years.

However, data provided in 2019 by the National Health Survey, the states with the highest number of diagnoses of arterial hypertension were: Rio de Janeiro 28.1%, Minas Gerais 27.7% and Rio Grande do Sul with 26.6%.

Now the states with the lowest diagnoses were: Pará 15.3%, Roraima 15.7% and Amazonas with 16%.

This disease is very dangerous, and deserves special attention, because according to the Mortality Information System (SIM) in just 10 years, from 2010 to 2020, 551,262 deaths were found due to Hypertensive diseases.

Being 292,339 in women, and 258,871 in men.

This condition better known as "high blood pressure", if not properly controlled, leads to several other undesirable factors, such as complications in heart failure (arrhythmia, angina pectoris), kidney failure, cerebrovascular accident (CVA).

THE Arterial hypertension belongs to a group of diseases that can be prevented by changing habits, such as reducing the consumption of alcohol and tobacco, a more balanced diet and daily physical activity.
